GEORGE EDES Mr. and Mrs. Fred Merk and Edgar Richards have returned home after spending two weeks visiting relatives in New Mexico. Miss Jane Warner left Sunday for Ashland where she will enter her freshman year in Southern Oregon College. Mr. and Airs. Charles Timmons left Wcdnesdaj for California. They took their daughter, Sharon, to Palo Alto where she will enter her freshman year at Stanford. They took their son, Bruce, to Los Oli-vos Oli-vos Oli-vos where he will enter the Midland Midland Boys preparitory boarding school for hrs sophomore year. Don Luftos, music supervisor for Yoncalla grade and high schools, announced that starting Monday he will conduct group piano classes for grade, intermediate and high school students. Mrs. Thelma Farmer was taken to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene Eugene Saturday with a heart condition. condition. She returned home the same day, but will return soon for a heart operation it is reported. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent McElmur-ry McElmur-ry McElmur-ry left Sunday to make tlieir home in Roseburg. McElmurry drove the high school bus and was also part-time part-time part-time marshal!. Men to replace him in these positions will be selected this week. Bill Breuning of Portland spent last week here visiting at the Claude Daufherty home.
