44 CRESTLINE. Crestline has been wondering about the cost of sidewalks this muddy weather. When the mud is deepest it is too muddy to make walks and when it drys up we do not worry about them "as the graveled road is smooth and hard as a pavement. We are like the Arkansas traveler when it rained he could not patch his roof and when it was dry the patch was not needed. .. February has been too cold to sow oats but not too cold for the 'helpful hen" to hatch the little 'fuzzy wuzzy" chicks. Several families having already begun the chicken season. This will be .interesting news for our town friends who expect to make visits to the country in a couple of months. They can find out where these families are by .making diligent inquires. Geo. and Mrs. Maxton celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of their wedding on Washington's birth-day. birth-day. birth-day. About thirty guests were invited and all had a most enjoyable enjoyable time. The house was decorated with the national colors and the little hatchets and etc. were appropriate to the day. The guests were given little silk flags as favors. The place cards at the table bore little hand painted hatchets and a tiny bunch of cherries. An elegant dinner was served and all joined in wishing this worthy couple all the good things of life Mrs. Mitchell who has been on the sick list for a long time died on Monday of last week. She leaves a husband and one son. She was the daughter of uncle "Billy Lewis" and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.. Leonard Scott has
