. '-Aw '-Aw '-Aw In Jackson Township 64 years ago, at the height of the depression, I agreed to teach in a one-room one-room one-room school two miles from town. There it would become my responsibility responsibility to be the janitor, to be the water boy, the nurse, anything that needed to be done. I had 18 pupils and seven grades. My longest class period was by combining seventh- seventh- and eighth-grade eighth-grade eighth-grade for several subjects. That was for 15 minutes three times a week. All this came into good use when about 30 years later I became a special education teacher in the city ofHarrisburg and everything was individual again with no classrooms of that sort. Laura Grabman
