John R Kittrell note. - A FOEMEB NETADAN.--Tho San Fran- oisco...
A FOEMEB NETADAN.--Tho San Fran- oisco Examiner, in one of its late said: A tall and dignified gentleman, btraight as an arrow, and with the of a Kentucky Senator, put the name "John E. Kittrell" on the Palaoe register yesterday. This was Colonel J. Kittrell, formerly Attorney-General of Nevada, but no\v, and for many years oorne probably, District -Attorney of Stanislaus county. Oolonel Kittrell has got o little grayer in beard since the days whan he awoke the Washoe with Democratic eloquence, but he stands as erect and defiant and his uar ia as courtly as in the long Tho Colonel is) reticent on political matters, for he himself is a candidate reelection, though without opposition, he was seen later in the day in confab with John C. Mayuard and Chairman English, whence it is prob- ublo that before the hoar frosts come the foothills oJ Stanislaus may yet aud reverberate.
