—Journal-Times Photo Girls Meet Dean of Stout ot Tea Dean Alice Kirk from Stout Slate College in Menomonie talked with senior high school girls interested in making home economics a career when they and their mothers were guests for a tea in the home of Mrs. Arthur L. Olson, 1833 Main St. Above, Miss Virginia Webster and her mother, Mrs. Lewis A. Webster, stop to chat while Dean Kirk pours at the tea table and Mrs. Olson looks on. The tea was held May 17 and included about 12 senior high girls and mothers. Mrs. Olson is a former student and teacher at Stout. Dean Kirk heads the home economics department at Stout. At present, eight Racine girls are attending Stout with six more already enrolled for next year. They can study all phases of home economics from teaching and dietetics to textile research.
