STATE CENTER — Ftireral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church here Friday afternoon afternoon for George Nolta. who died in a Marshalltown hospital Tuesday following an operation for cancer of the stomach performed two weeks ago. The pastor, the Rev. Arthur H, Schultz, was in charge of the service. Mr. Nolta. who was 70 years of age, had been a resident of State Center since 1913, when he moved to town from a farm where he had lived since boyhood. He was born May 6. 1863, at Yorksville. Til., and came to Iowa with his parents in 1878 when he was 15 years old. He married Miss Sophia Wohlen In 1SS6 and three of their five children survive. They are John Nolta, Madella, Minn.; Lee Nolta, Stato Center, and Mrs. Lyle Mooney. Mooney. Tarn a.
