Heart Attack Fatal Tuesday To Charles Curtis Charles Curtis of 549 South Diamond Diamond street died suddenly at 8:30 a. m. Tuesday at the Siegfried grocery, grocery, 600 S. Diamond street of a heart attack. Mr. Curtis had been under treatment for a heart condition condition for some time prior to his death. The deceased was 68 years of age and has lived in this vicinity most of his life. For eight years he was manager of the Sears, Roebuck and Co., Farm store leaving their employ three years ago. Since that time he has done tree and shrub spraying. He was owner of the Jacksonville Spraying company. He was born Dec. 21, 1883, a son of Thomas and Sarah Elliot Curtis. He was married Feb. 10, 1920. Surviving is his widow, the former former Estella Boyd and the following children, Tom Curtis and Mrs. Robert Robert Taylor of this city and Mrs. Margaret Moyer, who resides in Chicago. Chicago. There are five grandchildren. Mr. Curtis is the last member of his immediate family, his parents preceding him in death many years ago. A sister, Mrs. Robert Mutch, is also deceased. Curtis was a member of the Christian Christian church ind the Modern Woodmen Woodmen of America. The body was removed to the Cody and Son Memorial home. Services will be held at 3:30 p. m. Thursday at the Cody and Son i Memorial Home with Rev. Leslie Heuston in charge. Interment will be made in the Jacksonville cemetery. cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p. m. Wednesday.
