DESIGNING POLICE MEMORIAL Merrell Gage Has Model of Kansas City Monument Completed. Robert Merrell Gage, Topeka jculp-toT, who produced the bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln, now standing in the state house grounds, has completed the clay model from which will be cast a memorial for Kansas City policemen who have died in the performance of their duty. Mr. Gage, who has been living in Kansas City" since his return from the war, was selected by the Kansas City police commission to make the monument. Two patrolmen, William Bonduran and Ira Boyle, were used as models for the clay sketch. The monument, when completed, will stand fifteen feet high, including a base of red Missouri granite. On the base will be inscribed the names of Kansas City policemen who have been killed while on duty. The figure Is that of a patrolman In the winter uniform of the Kansas City force, holding a small child on his shoulder. !
