2001 Harshbarger & Smart Wedding
WEDDINGS HARSHBARCER - SMART New Orleans, La., was the setting for the April 1, 2000, nuptials of Christine N. Harshbarger, V.M.D., and Matthew C. Smart, where Fr. Richard Gerlich united the couple in marriage at Holy Name of Jesus Church. Parents of the bride are Joanne Accetta and the late Dominic Dominic Accetta, and her grandparents are John Kitzmark and the late Lor-etta Lor-etta Lor-etta Kitzmark, and Mary Rawe and the late John Harshbarger, all of Beechview. Parents of the groom are David Smart and Bernadette Stinson, and his grandparents are Anne Smart and the late Glyn Smart, all of Napa, Calif., and Albert Albert Kramer and the late Gertrude Kramer, formerly of Marin Co., Calif. Calif. Honor attendant to the bride was matron of honor Heather Henry of Napa, sister of the groom. Dusty Maynard of Napa, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Bridesmaids included Kimberly Du-laney Du-laney Du-laney of Philadelphia, Pa., and Den-ise Den-ise Den-ise Cisternino of New York, N.Y., with flower girl Elizabeth Parker of New Orleans, friend of the bride and groom. William Dulaney of Philadelphia Philadelphia and Pat Thompson of Pittsburgh Pittsburgh were groomsmen. Following the reception, held at Broussard's Restaurant, New Orleans, the couple couple departed for their wedding trip to Costa Rica. They now reside in New Orleans, where the groom, a graduate of Napa Valley Community Community College, is employed as an animal animal keeper at the Audubon Zoo. Christine is a veterinarian at Causeway Causeway Animal Hospital, Metairie, La. She holds a B.A. degree in biology from Swarthmore College, and received received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.
