Council Organized. The borough solons met in special session last evening and the slate as printed on Wednesday in this column was r-jsned r-jsned r-jsned through by the votes of the eight Democratic members. The meeting was an exceptional one from the fact that all members were present at 7:30 when the president called for order. A rumor was current ou the street that the Republican members had upset the caucus program and the large throng rushed to the Council chamber to see the fun and were disappointed and left in disgust. The salaries are as follows: Secretary, $123; treasurer, 2 per cent. commission on all monies paid out; street commissioner, $1.50 per day and $2 when working in sewers: chief of police and patrolmen. $43 per month; borough solicitor, $150 per year; Jani tor, $;i0 per month and 15 cents per meal for feeding prisoners: electrician, $3 per month; surveyor, $10 per day.
