Bank Organized at Hanston
Bank Organized at Hanston. A bank has been organized at Hans-ton, Hans-ton, Hans-ton, the progressive little city in the east part of Hodgeman county on the Santa Fe branch line from Larned to Jetmore. The institution will be known as the Hanston State Bank, and is organized organized with a capital stock of $10,000. The charter was received this week, and the bank will open for business immediately, immediately, probably the latter part of this week. The board of directors is composed of J. W. Preston, James Lenox, A. J. Coombs, W. F. Hann, J. A. Collins, S. E. Notestine, and Dr. F. C. Bowin, and the remainder of the stockholders are about twenty-five twenty-five twenty-five of the leading men of Hanston and vicinity, vicinity, v Hodgeman county, and the eastern portion especially, ia rapidly advancing to a condition of cultivation and population population very similar to thi3 county a few years ago. Heretofore devoted exclusively exclusively to stock, the community about Hanston is now almost an unbroken wheatfield, and it will be but a short time until that section rightfully takes its place in the great Kansas wheat belt.
