Colson. who died at Middiesboro Tuesday night of nervous prostration; arose from his death bed Tuesday morning in hla delirium and took a wild ride through the mountains. While the nurse was absent from the room he slipped out, harnessed his $500 harness horse to his carriage, and started out on a drive. He drew a revolver and fired several shots into the animal, killing it in harness. He was taken in charge and returned to his home, where he died at 8 o'clock in the evening, evening, without regaining conecloupnere. Colonel Colson was a celebrated horse fancier, known throughout the state.
