| Mass Continues Church Fire Despite MILWAUKEE, Dec. 19 (/P) — The Rev. John Wolf and four altar boys kept on with the mass at St. Anthony Anthony of Padua Church today while a fire burned briskly in a corridor and 350 grade school children filed out. ),. The blaze, discovered by Patrj: Patrj: c/a ' Dieringer, 12, broke out, in .a rfallway leading from the church to a recreation hall while 8 a. m. mass was in progress. Attending were children in the first to eighth grades of St. Anthony school. A friend of Patricia's raced to an alarm box, another told the Rev. Marcel Le Joie. Father La Joie went to the rear of the church and, telling the children there was a fire, asked them to leave, at once. They filed oilt quietly, Then Father La Joie and janitor ! Joseph Paul went to work on the fire extinguishers. They had it pret- i ty well under control when the fire ' department arrived. Damage was estimated at $200. Cause of the blaze was undetermined. Father Wolf, meanwhile, continued continued with thc mass which had reached reached the consecration point when the fire was discovered. His four altar boys stayed with him. Two adults received communion.
