Because of the absence of Judge Eversole, court was delayed yes terday morning, but Carlo ' Lytle was elected special Judge. Judge Eversole Is at Benge, eight miles away, sick. The trial of tbe Grlfflns bas not been called. Judge Lytle discharged Green Griffin, who was recently captured, because of Insufficient proof to warrant holding- him. Matters are very serious at Man chester now. All over the little town are men carrying Wlnchtesters. ten. Trouble was expected this morn ina. when George Philpot the leader of one side, began talking to Deputy Sher iff Dave CTiadwell, one of the Griffin leaders. Bob Philpot a son of Geonre. drew his Colt's revolver on Chadwell. and eacn of tneae was backed by a numtoer of mends. Tne spectators cleared the field. Judge Lytle ordered the Sheriff to summon ten of tbe best men be could find. The order was obeyed and the trouble stopped.
