TATE, CARMEN — Age 55, husband of Ethel Little Tate of 34 Lexington Ave., Brownwood City, died after a prolonged illness on Wednesday, October 16, 1974 at 1:25 a.m. in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Uniontown, a son of the late Ralph and Grace Delligatti Tate. He was a lifelong resident of this area, and was a veteran of World War II, the Vietnam Conflict and Korean Conflict. He retired from the United States Navy as an engineer for the Merchant Seamen with twenty years of service. Surviving, besides his wife, are a stepson, Harold Fuehrer at home: five brothers and sisters: Mrs. Sam (Rose) Stasia and Ralph Tate, both of Uniontown; Mrs. Richard (Mary) Hill of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Mrs. Norman'(Jane) Frobergof Cleveland, Ohio; and Michael Vitale of Chicago, Illinois. Preceding him in death was a brother, Donald Anthony Tate, in 1954. Friends will be received in the Victor A. DeCarlo Funeral Home. 136 N. Gallatin Ave., today after 7 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., and until Friday at 1 p.m., the hour of service, with Dr. Earl P. Confer officiating. Burial will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
