The shotgun charge which pickets said was fired from the H. C. Frick Coke Company property, climaxed a night ol grim expectancy. Some 400 United Mine Workers pickets ranged the vend past the Edenborn mine where yesterday 10 pickets were wounded and about 40 others clustered at the "company store" a quarter-mile distant. But not until just before dawn did anything resembling violence occur. Then the single shot rang out. Pickets duelled, expecting a fusiludc. Three ol their number jerked with quick pain as pellets struck them on hand or left. Those wounded were treated at the scene. They were listed as Ben Wilson 50, Mike Kropchek, and an unidentified man who refused to give his name. Reporters were chased from the scene by pickets.
