go will and is Dr. KILLING YOUTH a attended. 58 in by Dorsey Lamb, Held at Martinsburg, Martinsburg, Says Shooting: Shooting: Was Accidental Martinsburg, W. Va'., Sept. 7. (#>) County officers said tonight that Dorsey Lamb, 22, a quarry worker, confessed that he shot and killed 12- year-old Lorentz Marino at Blairton. Saturday, but contended the shooting was accidental. They quoted Lamb as saying that he fired several shots at random and that the bullet which felled the boy was intended for a bird on a fence. The officers, however, continued to seek evidence to support their belifit that Lamb, his father, Walter Lamb, and brother, Emory Lamb, suspected young Marino of seeking the hiding places of liquor caches of the Lambs. Walter Lamb, who with Emory Lamb is hel'd for questioning, twice has been prosecuted within twelve months on liquor law violation charges, officers said. Luther Lamb, 12, led officers yesterday yesterday to a spot 150 yards from the home of Dorsey Lamb, where the gun was found, and was quoted as saying that He threw the gun there at Dorseys request. Luther Lamb, the officers said, admitted purchasing purchasing the ammunition for the gun. Walter Lamb told the officers that from where he was standing on a, hill he saw the Marino youth, heard the shot and saw the boy fall. An autopsy revealed that young Marino, son of Constable Louis Ma rino, of Blairton, was struck by one bullet which penetrated his heart. The officers said Dorsey Lamb con fessed after Mr. and Mrs. John Snow relatives of the Lambs, told of seeing Dorsey fire the fatal shot.
