Buck on Illinois avenue in East End place this morning a* 8 o'clock. Mrs. Buck had gone to a neighboring well 'leaving her four year old son, Emmet, Emmet, In the Jiouse. The child discovered discovered the fire and running out of th{| house in his night clothes attracted attracted the atention pf neighbors to the fire. Within a few minutes after the fire was discovered the house was •in a hopeless condition, 'arid v was soon destroyed. Almost everything in it was burned. The house was only recently paid for by the owner and it is said there was no insurance- Louis Miller, a fireman, slipped on an icy roof and fell ten feet to the ground, but was only, slightly hurt. lAi bouse north of the Buck house, owned 'by Ed. /Cannon and occupied by William Blake, was damaged, but was saved. "
