Made a Flesh Wound. Correspondence Tribune.] Provo. July 17.—Jailer Thomas Williams was accidentally shot through the calf of the right leg- this morning, making a. painful though not necessarily dangerous j wound. I The jailer had a number of prisoners \ In the District courtroom, sweeping- it , out. and they were being given dampened brooms for the purpose. Tho Jailer was in the act ol shaking- the water from a broom when the handlo caught the trigger trigger of his revolver, in his right hip pocket, and th<5 weapon was disehnrpeil JTie officer's clothing was set. on lire, but it was believed for a short time Unit there had been no further rtamnge done until he discovered the blood. Then Dr. Allen was hurriedly summoned and tho i wound was dressed. It. was found that I the bullet entered the fleshy part of tho -, calf, just below the knee, and came out about threo inches farther down.
