Keele, longtime residents of this city, will be honored Saturday, Nov. 24, with an open house in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary. The affair will be held at the Spanish Fork First-Twelfth Ward Chapel, between the hours of 2 and 6 p.m. Born May 12, 1892 at Mount Carmel, Utah, Mrs. Keele is the former Lenora (Nora) Higginson, a daughter of James G. and Elec- Nephi Matron Honored On 80th Birthday NEPHI — A large group of family and friends enjoyed an open house visit with Mrs. Mary N. Olsen Sunday on her 80th birthday. The following children were present: Mrs. Dell (Dorothe) Steele, Nephi; Mrs. Harold (Ruby) Martin and Eugene Olsen, of Magna; Max, Donald and Jack Olsen, all of Kearns. Most of the 25 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren were also present. Mrs. Olsen was born in Nephi Nov. 15,1882, daughter of Neils C. and Mary O. Nielsen. She was married to Andrew W. Olsen Dec. 19, 1906. ta Coltrin Higginson. She has been active throughout her lifetime in LDS Church work, having served as a ward Relief Society president and counselor. She has a record of many years service as a visiting teacher and has also been an instructor for the block teachers. She has been an instructor in the YWMIA and had roles in a number of MIA dramatic presentations. She is a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and is currently serving as vice president of the Spanish Fork Garden Club. Mr. Keele was born at Salem, Utah, March 7, 1888, the son of Alexander and Alice Bilby Keele. He followed construction work until his retirement and has been prominent locally as a cement work contractor. Active in LDS Church work, he has served as an Elders Quorum secretary in former years and is now a high priest. The Keeles were married Nov. 20, 1912 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and have resided in Spanish Fork since that time. They are the parents of three sons, Melvin Keele, Stockton, Calif.; William and Marcel Keele, Paris, Ida., and two daughters, Mrs. Jake (Electa) Zeeman, Benjamin, and Mrs. Archie R. (Darlene) Atwood, Spanish Fork. They have 28 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Their' friends and relatives are invited to call. The family requests no gifts.
