♦ --------------------THROWER r.u» Rrhlieker Gus Schlieker, 49. a +—..........-.— ■ -------- HP ATHQ f i LJM-stA i n j , ........♦ prominent Morgan county farmer and fruit grower, residing five and one-half miles east of Meredosia, died at 9:40 o'clock Thursday night at Passavant;at hospital. Mr. Schlieker had been fenng from appendicitis, and under- wrent an operation at the hospitsl last Monday. His death will be generally mourned ln the Meredosia community where he was highly respected. He was a son 'of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Schlieker,, and died on the same farm where he was born. Mr Schlieker was an extensive grower of apples and other ¡owning a 30 acre orchard of fine trees. He was a member of the Mor- gan County Farm Bureau. Surviving are hls wife who before marriage was Miss Nelle Enke; a son and daughter, Russell Schlieker and Mrs. Lvle Hyde; three broth« rs, Wll- ham, Charles and Ben Schlieker. There are two grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. The remains were prepared for burial here at the Arthur O. Cody Funeral Home, and will be taken to the residence east of Meredosia Funeral services probably will be held at 'Trinity Lutheran church esst of Meredosia at 1;30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Interment will be made In the church cemetery.
