Blaze Routs S. L. Family Clad only in night clothes, seven members of a Salt Lake county family were driven into the cold morning air Thursday by a fire which completely gutted their home and caused an estimated 53500 damage. Mr. and Mrs. Fred G. Ferre of 136 Wesl Twenty-seventh South street, and their five children, escaped escaped with little more than their lives Thursday at 7:30 a. m. from K fire believed to have started from an overheated stove. Mr. Ferre told firemen he arose shortly after 7 a. m. before any other members of the family were up. and built fires in the kitchen and living room stoves and then wor.t back to bed. About 15 minutes later Mrs. Ferre got up and on opening the living room door found the room in names. She said she ran back and called Mr. Ferre, then awakened awakened their three daughters, who escaped through a bedroom window. window.
