POWNAL BOY ON OKINAWA--Pvt. James A. Brookman (left), son of Mr., and Mrs. Ronald Brookman of Pownal, watches as his commanding officer, Ma]. Robert B. Marshall, meaning of the crest of 29th Infantry regiment, based on the island of Okinawa in the Pacific. Brookman's wife, the former Virginia Watts, lives with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John of Pownal. Her husband entered the army in July, 1952, and arrived on Okinawa early He is serving as an ammunition bearer. With him in picture are (left to right) Pvt- Simmons, Wells River, Vt; Maj. Marshall and Pvt. Harry J. Payea, Essex Junction, Vt.
