St. John H, Geddes, Retired Railroad Employe, Dies A North Adams native, John H. Geddes, 73, of 60 Buckingham Rd,, Quincy, a retired railroad employe, died Sunday in Quincy City Hospital. He liad been employed by New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad 42 years, serving as chief telegrapher and director at the South Bay tower in Boston. He had retired eight years ago. He had lived in Quincy the past 35 years. A veteran of service with the U.S. Navy during W.orld War he was, a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, He leaves his wife, the former Ethel Gray; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Thurber Abington, Mrs. Rutli Johnson North Quincy, ami Miss Eleanor Geddes, at home; one brother, William A. Geddes of this and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Andrews and Miss Minnie Geddes, also of North Adams. Funeral services will be held at 1 tomorrow afternoon al the Deware Bros. Funeral Home at 576 Hancock St., Quincy.
