1906 Lane County, Oregon Socialist Nominating Convention
On March 17, 1906 between 40 and 50 Socialists met at Frank's Hall in Eugene to nominate candidates for the June 1906 general election. B.C.Y. Brown topped the ticket as nominee for State Senate, with C. Guard Huston, W.J. Butler, and V.P. Matthews nominated for the three Lane seats in the Legislature. A full county slate was also named, an county election platform approved, and a resolution condemning "unpatriotic, un-American and unlawful" actions against Charles Moyer and Big Bill Haywood.
