Athletes of 30 and 40 years ago gathered at Canyon park, Redwood canyon, yesterday for the fifth annual reunion and barbecue of the old Acme Athletic club. Former boxers, wrestlers, bicycle riders, hikers and runners, many of them champion prior to the time the club went out of existence, almost 30 years ago, attended the barbecue. Approximately 90 members were there. ... the Bay City Wheeling [sic] club was defeated by the Acme club in a 100-mile bicycle relay race from San Francisco to Oakland
