Hain's Reformed Church 150 anniversary
HAIN'S CHURCH 150 YEARS OLD Sesqui - Centennial Observed at fdifice Near ernersvile Yesterday and Today The opening service of a week of celebration at St. John's (Hain's) Reformed church, near Werners - ville, in honor of the sesqui - centen - nial, or 150th anniversary of the congregation was held yesterday. At 10 a. m., Rev. Dr. Theodore F. Herman, of Lancaster Theological Seminary, as the speaker. At 2 o'clock the unveiling of the concrete memorial church took place, - followed followed by services In the church. Among the speakers at this service and that of Sunday evening were Dr. A. C. Rothermel, Kutztown; Rev. Thomas H. Krick, Coplay; Rev. M. L. Herbein, Reading, and Rev. Lerch, descendant of one of the ' families which founded . the church. This afternoon and evening services services will be hold in the grove of Henry Gaul, adjoining the church. Among the speakers win be Rev. Amandus Leiby. A band will be in attendance.
