CAP Cadets To Make Tour Of Cabaniss Today marks the eleventh anniversary anniversary of the formation of the Civil Air Patrol but squadrons in Hiis .area will devote the entire week to marking the event, Lt. W. T. Bradford, group commander, commander, announced today. One of the highlights of the activities activities will be a tour of Cabaniss Field by CAP Cadets. Maj. John Wattles, public information officer, said. The tour is set for Thursday. Thursday. Thn Corpus Christi squadron is one of the oldest in the United States/ and was one of the most active in flying antisubmarine patrols during World War II. Wattles said 1 . CAP members flew their light planes over the Gulf of Mexico to spot submarines and thus protect tankers and other shipping. The local squadron has increased Us membership approximately 30(1 percent during the past year. · The meeting tomorrow night will be of importance to all members and prospective members, Wattles Raid.
