OOO' The marriage of Miss Gertrude Har rlet Diem, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Diem, of 803 Grandvlew street, and Burton Frederlo Seward, of Carteret, N. J., son of Mrs. Harriet Seward, of Wyaluslng. Pa., toko place Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, In the Immannel Baptist Chureh, with Rev. Harold R. Husted . officiating. Prof. Frederick Walbank played the wedding march and recessional. Mrs. Walter Hess, accompanied by Mr. Wal. bank. sane. "Because Tou Cams to Me" and "O Premiss Me." The bride, who was given In mar riage by her father wore an effect lvely simple gown ef white taffeta, trimmed with imported chantllly lace, and carried a shower bouquet of white sweetheart roses, and valley llllies. Her veil was of tulle, with narrow band of lace matching that on her dress, over the crown of the head, held In place with clusters of orange bios' soms and tulle. The matron of honor, Mrs. Herbert j. ljongmore, a sieier oi ine onoi, wore Nile green taffeta trimmed with inserts of ecru lace. Her hat was of shell oink hair braid, trimmed with pink and Nile green mallne. She car ried. a shower bouquet of pink roses, Jeanne Hanwas. of Rldrefleld Psrk, N. J.i a niece of the groom,, was the flower girl. She wore shell pink georgette, trimmed with lace and rose buds, snd carried a basket of pink sweet oeas. . ' . The rroom was attended by her brother. Guy H. Seward, of Pennsyl vanla. State College, as best man, and Herbert J. Longmor. of ScrSnton. and Nell K. Seward, of Mlddletown, N. T. were the ushers. - ' A reception followed at ths home of the bride's parents, with a wed ding breakfast served by Spencer. Only ths Immediate families were present. , , - Mrs. Diem wore black Molly - o - erepe, trimmed with lace., - and a corsage of butterfly roses. Mr. Seward: was In brown georgette with corsage: of snap dragons. Mr: and Mrs. Seward ars motoring through the , New England ; States, after which they will reside In a. newly furnished apartment, Carteret, N. J. Mrs. Seward is a graduate of the Lackawanna Business College, and was employed in ths Real Estate de partment of the Hudson Coal com pany. Mr. Seward Is a graduate of Pennsylvania State College, a member member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, Hs Is employed as plant superintend ent of ths Warner Chemical Company, 0 0 0
