Morris Ugent Rites for Morris Ugent, 76, a furrier on Milwaukee's South Side for 50 years, were held Monday at Goodman-Bensman Goodman-Bensman Goodman-Bensman (west). Mr. Ugent, of 3873 N. 79th st., died Sunday, Nov. 22. Born in Lithuania, he moved to Seattle when he was 13. A few years later his family moved to Milwaukee, and at age 22 he became became a fur tailor. He opened his first shop on the South Side when he was 26. In 1935 he opened Edwards' Edwards' Furs and Fashions on W. Forest Home ave. He belonged to B'nai B'rith and Congregation Agudas Achim. Survivors are his wife. Glika (nee Berman); two daughters, j Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Craig and Mrs. Yale (Ruth) Knight, both of Bayside; five sons, Abraham, Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Aaron, Fox Point, Leon Marnett, River Hills, David, Miami, Miami, Fla., and Rabbi Meyer, Chicago; Chicago; two brothers, Jack, Miami, and Julius, Beloit, Wis.; and 15 grandchildren. Interment was in Agudas Achim cemetery. j
