j j i CONNEAUT LAKE DAIRY DAMAGED Fire Losses Run High at Crawford Cream e r y Company Plant. Fire of undetermined origin swept ! through the Crawford Creamery Company plant and retail store en First Street In Conneaut Lake borough borough last night, causing unestlmat- ed damage. Firemen from Conneaut Lake town and Conneaut Lake Park tho burning building for moro than f two hours and were able to bring tho blaze under control. Joseph Van Korngut, owner and manager of tho large creamery plant, said he "had no Idea" how- large the loss would run. The loss is only partly covered by Insurance, he said. It was estimated that damage to the retail store alone would run as high as $9,000. It marked the third tlmo In nine years that fire has heavily damaged damaged a Van Korngut plant. On February 16, 1939, the large creamery creamery plant, then located near Harmonsburg, Harmonsburg, burned to the ground with a loss estimated at $35,000. Jn November, 1933, the old Harmonsburg Harmonsburg creamery was destroyed by fire for a loss approximated at $25,000.
