A prominent member of St. Peter's church for 45 years, Mrs. Courtwright recently transferred her membership to the Immaculate Immaculate Conception parish. She was well-known through her work in various church organizations. Born in 1855 in Osage Bend, she grew up in that neighborhood attending rural schools in Cole county. She came here in 1886 after having married Martin Courtwright, who died 28 years ago. In addition to Mrs. Rost, the daughter at whose home she succumbed, succumbed, Mrs. Courtwright is survived survived by two brothers, Frank and Peter Eveler of Jefferson City; a sister, Mrs. J. Kolb of Wardsville; Wardsville; and the following children: Mrs. Jess Rogers, Jefferson City: Mrs. John Day and Mrs. Lawrence Lawrence Hoffmann, Kansas City; and Victor Courtwright, Spring- • field
