serve be of n - l h e ' this social -- T h e Dr. as one Lutheran Schools Plan Spelling Bee Forty young spellers from five Lutheran schools in Berrien county will hold a spelldown starting at 12:45 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran school, 2900 Lakeview avenue, St. Joseph. There will be two spellers each from grade five through eight from the host school; Immanuel, Immanuel, Bridgman, Trinity, Berrien Berrien Springs, Trinity, Sawyer, and Trinity, Glenclora. The details of the spelldown were announced by Henry W. Raedcke, principal, of Trinity school, Glendora. Raedeke said Arnold Glaess, principal of Trinity Trinity Lutheran school, St. Joseph, will pronounce the words. Scorers Scorers are Waldo Bangert, principal of Immanual Lutheran school, Bridgman, and Fred Knuth of Christ Lutheran, St. Joseph. Judges will be Donald Scheck, principal, T r i n i t y Lutheran school, Sawyer; and David Meyer, principal, Trinity Lutheran Lutheran school, Berrien Springs. Paul Winter of Immanuel Lutheran, Lutheran, Bridgman, is co-chairman co-chairman with Raedeke. The champion will receive a trophy presented by the Aid Association for Lutherans. It will be a traveling trophy. The winning winning school and the individual runner-up will also receive a trophy, Raedeke said.
