of a at it Thomas Wilson Bard - Thomas Wilson Bard, son of tlie late George W. Bard and the Jate Casander Rogers Bard, died at his home in Hustontown on Weunes- day, September 26, 1945, at 8:45 o'clock. He was taken suddenly ill and passed away before medical aid could reach him. He was born in Orbisonia on July 12, 1876, and spent the eaiiy part of his life in his native town. He went to Pitcairn where he was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company fpr a num.ber of years. Later he followed the occupation of farming until four years ago when he moved with his family to Hustontown. He was united in marriage to Lillie Flack of Pitcairn in 1907. To this union were born six children, five of whom survive: Milton Bard, Greensburg; Mrs. Rosella Levis, Ligonier; Mrs. Cleora Shafer, Laughhntown; Sgt. Clarence Bard, at in the United Statea Army in • Texas; and Curtis Bard, at home. Six grandchildren also survive. Mr, Bard was a kind husband and father and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The funeral service was held at the late home on Saturday evening, September 29, at eight o'clock. The body was taken to the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, near Ligonier where a further service was held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Hooper of Hustontown.
