Dr. A. Dawson -was made temporary Chairman, and Bryant temporary Secretary, with Henry Higgins as Assistant. A. K. Lamb elected Sergeant-at-Aarms. The following Committees were appointed, after the Contention took a recess until o'clock: CBBDENTIAIS. J. C. Smith, A. H. Manning, C. Lee, W. L. Marsden, J. H. Whited. ORGANIZATION AND OKDSB OF BUSINESS. J, J. Linn, J. S. Shoemaker, T. Herman, J. W. Nojes, Wai. Merrill. PLATFOEM AND BESOI/0TIONS. J. P. Myers, J. C. Erb, J. J. Wm. Thompson, O. Sessions, B. F. Bacon, Geo. Douglas, C. C . Monreo. Al'T EBNOON SESSION, The Convention reassembled at one o'clock. The Committee on Permanent Organization reported a resolution declaring declaring the temporary officers the permanent permanent officers of the Convention, wns adopted. The Committee on Credentials reported reported the names of 63 gentlemen, heretofore published, entitled to seats in Convention, which was adopted. The Committee on Platform and Besolutions submitted the following preamble and resolutions, which were adopted without opposition: The Republicans of SWashoe county, in convention assembled, do hereby reaffirm our devotions to the Bepublioau party ; and believing the best of the {country can best be served the continuance of ^Republican administration, administration, we do hereby Resolve, That this convention adopt and e ndorse as its declaration of principles for the present campaign, the platform adopted by the National publican Convention, at Chicago, in June, and the Bepublican State Convention Convention at Virginia City, April 30, and be it. Besolved, That our representatives Congress should use all honorable endeavors to secure au appropriation the ptirpose of sinking artesian wells, thereby increasing our acreage of farming and grazing lands throughout 3 tate ;- and be it Besolved, That this convention and recommends just and generous legislation for the purpose, and to the that the great mining industries of State of Nevada may be strengthened, and the mineral wealth of the Silvor State bo fully aud profitably developed, developed, J. F. MYKBS, Chairman. NOMINATIONS. The first nomination in the order business was a State Senator. Hon. L. Fish was the only nominee. He came forward, and in a neat speech endorsed the platform and resolutions, and was then declared the nominee acclamation. Next in order was the nomination ASSEMBLY. 1IKN. D. Allen, T. F. Laycock, Pierce Evans, Nate W. Boff and Eugene Griswold were placed in nomination. The candidates, with the exception Mr. G-riswold, came forward and endorsed endorsed the platform. Griawold was absent in San Francisco on business, Mussey, of Wads worth, did the work him. The first ballot resulted in the nomination of Griswold and Laycock, The Convention then proceeded to for choice between Allen, Evans and Boff. Upon this question 9 ballots were taken without any definite result, when Evans withdrew his name, The fight continued until the 9th ballot reached, when Allen obtained 34 votes and was declared the nominee.
