Cecil Quimby Installed Commander Cecil N. Quimby was installed installed as post commander of the Roy V. Kinard Post 10 of the American Legion at the installation installation service Monday night at the Legion Hut on the Junction City Highway. Other officers installed by Dr. Garland D Murphy Jr., past national vice commander, were Parker M. Wilson, first vice president; Ted Novick, second vice president; Tom Marlow, thira vice president; Rev. George W Fletcher, chaplain; chaplain; Ray Majors, Sgt.-at- arms; Ben D Lindsey, post service officer, Harry G. Miller, Miller, trustee Quimby is a veteran of World World War I. He flew 44 missions in the Southwest Pacific and shot down seven enemy aircraft, aircraft, three official. He Is the holder of the Distinguished Fly- ins Cross, the Air Medal with oakleaf clusters, two Presidential Presidential Citations and various ether campaign medals. He is a member of the Masonic Masonic I<odge, Scimitar Shrine, Knights of Khorassan, Knights of Pythias, V. F W. and Forty and Eight He is a member of the First Methodist Church.
