Marshman Listed Critical PHOENIX, Ariz. -- (H -- Race driver Bobby Marshman, 28, of Pottstown, Pa., was in extremely critical condition today with burns over 85 to 90 per cent of his body. The nine-year racing veteran, who placed 13th in Sunday's 200-mile Bobby Ball Memorial Race at Phoenix International Raceway, crashed into the track wall yesterday during a practice run. Witnesses estimated Marshman hit the west retaining will at about 148 miles per hour. Marshman was sprayed with flaming gasoline as the car exploded. Two asbestos-suited firefighters pulled Marshman from the wreckage and sprayed him with foam. The Lotus Ford destroyed. Marshman, a veteran of four Indlunapolis 500 races, wife and son.
