OBITUARY. Mdeliior Siinmcn. Melchior Simmen, an old and - respected respected respected , resident., of jHughestown, passed away this morning at 6:10, after after a long illness ,of miners' asthma. He was aged 73 years.; Mr. Simsnen was born in Hessen, in the .southern part of Germany, and came to America America in early manhood, settling in the vicinitly of Pittston over half a century century ago. - At the time of his death he was a member of Falling Spring lodge, No. 236, K. of P., and of Luzerne Luzerne lodge. No. 271, I.' O. O. F. His survivors are his widow, Mrs. Anna Simmen, and the - following sons and daughters: John and Mrs. Ambrose Faust, of Scranton; Mrs. Arch. Ram - age, of. this city; George, of El Paso, Texas; Ernest and William R., both of Hughestown. The funeral is to be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be held at the house and interment will be made in St. Peter's German Lutheran cemetery.
