OBITUARY. Mdeliior Siinmcn. Melchior Simmen, an old and - respected , resident., of jHughestown, passed away this morning at 6:10, after a long illness ,of miners' asthma. He was aged 73 years.; Mr. Simsnen was born in Hessen, in the .southern part of Germany, and came to America in early manhood, settling in the vicinitly of Pittston over half a century ago. - At the time of his death he was a member of Falling Spring lodge, No. 236, K. of P., and of Luzerne lodge. No. 271, I.' O. O. F. His survivors are his widow, Mrs. Anna Simmen, and the - following sons and daughters: John and Mrs. Ambrose Faust, of Scranton; Mrs. Arch. Ram - age, of. this city; George, of El Paso, Texas; Ernest and William R., both of Hughestown. The funeral is to be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be held at the house and interment will be made in St. Peter's German Lutheran cemetery.
