The revolver with which the deed was committed had been upon a shelf in Mr. Dorman's bed room undisturbed for two years. It was rusted, and the cartridges so long in the chamber assisted in making it difficult to move. Consequently the revolver, which is an old-fashioned one; was hard to cock. Coroner Minshall, upon picking up the bloody weapon from beside Miss Dorman's body, was obliged to use both hands in raising the hammer. could have done so at
