EAST PENN HILLS Boyfriend sentenced A man who told police he accidentally accidentally killed his girlfriend while the two were having sex has been sentenced to 22 to 44 months in prison. Matthew Conti, 26. of Plum, pleaded guilty in April to involuntary involuntary manslaughter in the July 24, 2001, death of his girlfriend, Frances Giovanetti, 32, of Penn Hills. Police said Conti told them he began began choking the woman at her request request while the two were having what Conti described as rough sex. Conti said he panicked after the woman went limp, so he cut the cord from an electric curler box and " hung Giovanetti's body in her shower shower stall to make it appear that she had committed suicide, police said. He also pleaded guilty to theft for stealing Giovanetti's car and dumping dumping it over an embankment. In court Friday, Conti apologized for Giovanetti's death and asked her family for forgiveness. "He didn't feel guilty for the five days she was in her apartment" dead, said Giovanetti's brother, Robert.
