Popoezy arrived in Massillon about 9:30 a. m. and later in the day returned to Canton where she is working at present with the Canton Red Cross nurse" recruitment committee. ^ She addressed senior nurse students and graduates at the Massillon state'-' hospital and graduates at tlie city hospital, a- senior girls' assembly at Washington high school, Miss Ruth Weimer'a nursing class at the high school and a group 6f high school girls from Barbertori, Canal Pulton, Brewster, Navarre, Beach City and other surrounding towns at a round, table discussion from 3 to 5 at Massillon ; city 'hospital nurses home, when tea was served. / Capt. Popczy's visit was for. the purpose of stimulating the interest of Massillon's nurses in-joining the army and navy nurse corps. The goal o£ the present Red Cross recruitment drive is to provide 10,000 nurses for the army and 4,000. for the navy.
