Lakes, 61, 3551 Tylersville Rd., died at his home at 4 p.m. Wednesday. He was born in Nicholasville, Ky., a son of Thomas and Ida Miller Lakes and received his education in the schools of Hamilton. A member of the Hamilton Dog Training Club, Mr. Lakes was the owner and operator of the Ben Lakes Builders Co., for 17 years. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Minter Lakes; three sons,'Richard Lakes; three Hamilton and William Lakes and Jack Lakes, both of Dayton; three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Carolyn) Harader, Topeka, Kan., Mrs. George (Pamela) Merrill, Cincinnati, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Roy ( J u a n i t a ) R o Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Wiley Lakes, Dayton and Gordon Lakes, California; one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Jones, Ft. Worth, Tex.; and five grandchildren. grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Brown- Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
