His Dad was Johann Peter Young (1781-1844), Berks County, PA.> Middletown, PA. Samuel's son James Paul Young was a Private in the Union Army and he died Jan 22, 1865 in a Army, Regimental Hospital, records only says "Regimental Hospital." Also Samuel is the brother of James Young (1820-95)
