Doyle Cramer Doyle D. Cramer, 90, of Homer City died Tuesday, March 5,2002, at Indian Haven. He was bom Jan. 11,1912, in Nolo, the son of James Elaine and Edith Rebecca Paul Doyle. Mr. Cramer owned and operated J.B. Cramer Hardware in Homer City, which his parents established in 1922. He was a charter member of the Homer City Kiwanis Club and belonged to the AARP, Evergreen branch, in Indiana. Mr. Cramer was a devoted Christian who was a member of the Homer City United Methodist Church for more than 75 years. He was an active member who served on many committees and boards over the years. He lived his faith. After his retirement he enjoyed travelling with his wife, bowling, playing cards and spending time with his friends and family. He was an old-fashioned businessman who knew all his customers by name, and everyone knew you could find anything in his store. Mr. Cramer is survived by three daughters: Sara V. Pulliam and her husband, John, of Homer City; Mary Anne Barr and her husband, Thomas, of Littlestown; and Rebecca J. Ondo and her friend, Bernie Ralanavich, of Indiana; a son, David J., and his wife, Alice, of Aliquippa; a devoted friend, Thelma Haldin; 12 grandchildren: Connie, Tracey, Beth, Jennifer, Janell, Brian, Linda, Greg, Andrew, Heather, Holly and Hillary; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret J. McPhilimy, who died in 1988 after 49 years of marriage; and his son-in- law, Edward Ondo, in 1992. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home in Homer City. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Homer City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joseph Stains officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
