Tone Hancock Tone L. Hancock. 87. of Hill Valley, R.D.. Mount Union, died at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday. August 12. 1975 at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, where he had been a patient since August 7. Born June 25. 1888 in Hill Valley, he was the son of Solomon and Amanda (Price I Hancock. On March 12. 1913, he was married to the former Edith O. Bard by the Rev. Mr. Culver of Mount Union. His wife passed away in March of 1974. Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Clifton (Betty) Kelly and Fred M. both of Mount Union; Mrs. Amanda Ford and Mrs. William (Betty) Keith, both of Orbisonia; John L., Daniel B. and Wilmer O., all of R.D., Mount Union and George W. Johnstown. One son Thomas preceded in death. There are 38 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The deceased was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He belonged to the Singers Gap United Methodist Church, and was a farmer and sawyer by occupation. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 15, from the Heath funeral home in Mount Union The Rev. Thomas Maurer, pastorofthe Singers Gap Church, and the Rev. David Emerson of the Church of the Brethren in Saxton will officiate. Interment will be made in the Mount Union lOOFCemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 p.m. Friday until time for services.
