Fort unate Escape. As the steamer Columbia was coming to at Commerce street wharf, on last evening, from the excursion of the congregation congregation of St. Peter's Church, a passenger, Mr. Hugh ; McAvoy, accidentally fell overboard. Owing to the darkness he was not discovered for some time, and when found, was lying on s face in the water. The boat was lowered and he was rescued from his perilous situation. Kestoratives were administered, and we learn he was doing well.
