Grace Cockrum Dies At Auburn; Sesser Funeral Mrs. Grace Cochrum, 74, of Auburn, died at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Hosptlal at Springfield. She was a former resident of Sesser. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser with the Rev. Wesley Odle officiating. Burial will be in Horse Prairie cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Cockrum was bom Sept. 4, 1892, at Benton, the daughter of Moniw and Ellen (Hutchins) Batts. She was married to Francis Marion Cocki-um, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1962. Survivors include three sons, Denzil Cocki-um of Decatur, Marion Cockrum of Auburn, and Raymond Cockrum of RFD 1. Granite City; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Mabus of Sesser; II sister. Mrs. Olean Hart of Marion: nine grandchildren; end eight great-grandchildren.
