The jury in the court of Common Pleas, which for a couple of days past has been engaged in hearing the case of Harvey Hupman against Mrs. Sarah Alien, returned a verdict this morning, giving Hupman damages to the amount of $400. As stated by us yesterday this was a case in which Hupman s° n Sht toreoover damages to the extent of $5000 because because of injuries sustained by him by falling into a manhole pavement near the at about yesterday evemng and in ^ the Allen building. The case was given into the hands of the jury for consideration five o'clock as no agreement had bean reached at midnight last night the jurors were taken to the At-Us for the niebfc. After a night's rest the jurors jurors seemed to have less trouble In retting together and after a short consultation the verdict was rendered AS stated.
