Lusk Named for February Businessmen's New Chairman Ernest E. Lusk of Colton Feed & Fuel Co. was yesterday named chairman of the Colton Businessmen's Businessmen's association for its February meeting under a new plan for 1950. The new setup calls for a different chairman to have charge of affairs of the association and conduct the meeting each month of the new year, providing 12 dif ferent chairmen, instead of one president, to serve during 1950. Ben Taylor of the Coronet store has been requested to continue as secretary and treasurer during the ensuing 12 months. TALK 'BUY NOW' PLAN George Noonan of J. C. Penney Co. conducted yesterday's luncheon luncheon meeting at the Spanish Kitchen Kitchen and made the report for the committee on officers for 1950. Ray Pringle, director of distrib utive education of the school of business of San Bernardino Valley Valley college spoke on the "Buy Now" campaign sponsored by the Bank of America and the state department of education in an effort effort to see what will come of a concerted effort at salesmanship throughout California. On behalf of the college, the Group to Have for Each Month speaker offered the merchants a series of three two-hour two-hour two-hour classes on salesmanship in connection with the "Buy Now" campaign, telling of the need of special training, following nine years of war and post-war post-war post-war conditions under which selling almost became a lost art. The association agreed to sponsor sponsor the campaign in Colton and arangements were made for three classes to be held on Monday nights, Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and Feb. 13. CLASSES FREE Classes will be open to businessmen, businessmen, their employes and all others others interested in the art of selling, selling, it was stated, and will be conducted without cost to the group. Harry H. Hodge was named to secure and announce the place in which the classes will be held. In attendance at the luncheon gathering were: Al George, Ralph Binford, H. R. McCarroll, Cliff Ham, H. J. Andrews, E. E. Lusk, C. E. Burt, Brad Dayton, Neal H. Wood, H. H. Hodge, L. A. Line, C. G. Miller, C. K. Dooley, Bob Knopsnyder, Kyle Alexander, Bert M. Doty, Garmon Rogers, Ben Taylor, Bill Korneisel, George Noonan, and Nate Helman.
