Page 4 — Thursday, December 9, 2004 M. Jay Earley Jr. Norma Morton Jay Earley Jr., 62, of Indiana, Indiana, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at his residence. The son of Dr. Morton Jay Sr. and Dorothy Lois (Williamson) Earley, he was born Sept. 13, 1942, in Spanker. Mr. Earley was a 1960 graduate of Mercersburg Academy High School. He received a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Annville, and a degree in medical technology from Harrisburg General Hospital. Attorney Earley Earley furthered his education by attending attending Florida Sate University and the University of Cincinnati before obtaining his juris doctorate doctorate from the Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University University in Covington, Ky, in 1978. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served four active years of duty from 1965 to 1969. Following discharge, he worked as a laboratory technologist for Harrisburg General and Monroe County General hospitals. He then worked for the Bade Division Division American Hospital Supply Corporation, where he was responsible responsible for retail sales of Dade manufactured products. Attorney Attorney Earley opened his private law practice in Indiana in 1978, and he was an adjunct professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Pennsylvania's College of Business. He was a member of the Indiana Indiana County and State of Florida Bar Associations; the Grace Untied Untied Methodist Church; Indiana Kiwanis Club; F&AM, Coalport; Scottish Rite and Syrian Shrine, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; Allied Club, Indiana; Shelocta Sportsman's Sportsman's Club; American Legion 141, Indiana; Indiana Flying Club; and the Indiana BPOE. Surviving are his son, Eric Jay Earley, Indiana; his daughter, Bethanna Frye and her husband Tim, Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Willow and Chianna Chianna Fry of Columbus; and two sisters, Mary Jane Earley, Ebensburg Ebensburg and Peg DeLong, West Minster, Minster, Md. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. at die John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will immediately immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Linda Chambers Chambers officiating. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1989. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
